CDA Technical Institute DCBC Assessment

The DCBC assessment is for active commercial divers working in the commercial diving industry with a minimum of 2 years of field experience. The director will evaluate your curriculum vitae (CV) and review your log book, which must have logged and stamped dives from 15 to 50 meters (165 feet). If all dive times and standards are met then you will qualify for the 3 Day Assessment, (which includes the assessment exam and a minimum of three (3) dives), then you will qualify for the DCBC Unrestricted Surface Supplied Diver Certification, recognized by the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA).

If the dive times or standards are not met then a custom schedule will be created to fill in the missing portions. This is a 2-4 week program that reviews the academics for the Prior Learning Assessment Exam and completes the deep diving requirement for DCBC certification.
