Wet Welder Training |
Commercial Diving Academy is the only U.S. school offering
an internationally recognized underwater welding program (Underwater
Welding Specialist). In association with Speciality Welds,
LTD of the United Kingdom we teach the Weldcraft Pro underwater
welding program and certify the graduates through Speciality
Welds.

Outline |
A highly specialized training program, designed for commercial
divers serious about obtaining high quality Manual Metal Arc
(MMA) welding skills both above and below water. The course
follows the guidelines under the European Welding Federation
(EWF) with qualifications being awarded in accordance with
BS EN ISO 15618-1 and/or AWS D3.6-99M.
The training is designed to equip commercial divers with the
skills necessary to produce high quality fillet welds. Students
will be introduced to all the relevant theory associated with
the MMA welding process, together with relevant safe working
practices, etc. Each specific topic is covered by a lecture
where the learning outcome is clearly identified. (These outcomes
can be seen in the ‘course module’ document available
upon request).

| Content |
An
intensive two-week, closely supervised training course,
delivered by one of the worlds leading experts, provides
both theoretical and practical hands-on experience
for both wet and dry welding. The course consists
of a series of lectures together with written and
practical assignments and ultimately culminates in
an end of course examination and welder qualification
test. The practical exercises concentrate on developing
the skills necessary to produce defect free fillet
welds, through a number of well-planned and proven
exercises and the theory is covered by a series of
lectures covering 9 learning outcomes, which include

Who Should Attend? |
All newly qualified and/or experienced commercial divers/engineers
