Commercial Diving Academy accepts Title IV federal financial aid, including the federal Pell Grant, subsidized Direct Stafford loan, unsubsidized Direct Stafford loan, and Parent PLUS loans. CDA also accepts Florida Prepaid, the GI Bill, State and VA Vocational Rehabilitation funding, Workforce Investment Act and works with Fifth Third Bank and Sallie Mae to provide private student loans, known as Smart Option loans, which are credit-based and may require a co-signer.
Please complete Step 1 if you are interested in obtaining financial aid. Please wait two business days and then complete Steps 2 and 3.
Please fill out the 2011-2012 FAFSA if you plan to attend the April 2nd class.
Please fill out the 2012-2013 FAFSA if you plan to attend the April 30th class or any class after.
CDA's School Code is 039853 and the Air/Mixed Gas Commercial Diving Program is an undergraduate program. CDA recommends using the IRS Data Retrieval Link to upload your tax return information or you can request a copy of your tax return transcript by clicking here.

**New Post 9/11 GI Bill Information**
Effective October 1st, 2011, the Post 9/11 GI Bill will pay qualified veterans (see black text below for detailed information on eligibility) up to $17,500 to attend.
Veterans will also receive $1,248 per month (if 100% eligible) for the housing allowance and up to $1,000 a year for books. The monthly housing allowance is also prorated based on veterans' eligibility according to the table below.

Federal student loans are available, with an interest rate of 4.5% for the subsidized Direct loan (3.4% for all loans disbursed after July 1, 2011), 6.8% for the unsubsidized Direct loan, and 7.9% for the Direct Parent Plus loan. Crossover Period Policy (effective July 1, 2010):
For all classes that have a crossover payment period, CDA will pay the Pell Grant out of the 2010-2011or 2011-2012 award year, which ever one provides the student with the most Pell eligibility. Students must have a valid ISIR on file for the year used to determine Pell eligibility.
CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Academy employees should receive no personal benefit. No officer, trustee or employee of the Academy shall accept anything of more than nominal value on his or her behalf or on behalf of another person or entity from any Lending Institution.
2. Academy employees should not serve on lender advisory boards for remuneration.
3. The Academy should not provide any advantage to a Lending Institution.
4. The Academy should make appropriate use of any Preferred Lender Lists.
