There are three types of candidates for international certification through Divers Certification Board of Canada (DCBC).  For the checklist, click here.

The first assessment is for active commercial divers working in the offshore industry.  The Director will evaluate your curriculum vitae (CV) and review your log book, which must have logged and stamped dives to 50 meters (165 feet).  Provided you meet the standards for this one day program, which is held the third Monday of each month (see schedule below), then you will qualify for the Unrestricted Surface Supplied Diver Certification, recognized by International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA).

The second assessment is for certified working divers who have not logged in-water decompression dives to 50 meters.  This is a two week program that reviews all the neeeded academics to pass the Prior Learning Competency Assessment Exam.  The first week is academic review and shallow water diving and the second week takes place at our Deep Water Training Center in Ocala to complete the deep diving requirement.

The third assessment is for new graduates from schools that are members of the Association of Commercial Diving Educators (ACDE).  This program is six weeks and is designed to supplement all requisite academic and diving competencies required in the CSA Z275.4 diving standard.

The Deep Water Training Center is an all-inclusive, state-of-the-art diving resort. The Center has a hyperbaric chamber, a mixed gas blending station, digital video monitoring system, a hot-water system and an open bell. The facility located on five acres, with on-site lodging, cafeteria providing 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, a  recreational area with picnic tables and a complete dive store. On-site lodging and a meal plan are available at an additional cost.
