Meet Our Administrative Staff
DAVID H. WEISM
AN, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Mr. Weisman has been a recreational diver since 1967. He attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and majored in environmental science. He
holds a USCG operator’s license and has extensive experience in offshore sailing/racing; Mr. Weisman served as navigator for the Halifax/Bermuda race and skippered the Bonzo Voyager in numerous sailing competitions. Mr. Weisman has operated successful maritime businesses and sold his interests to a publicly traded company. Mr. Weisman oversees the operation, administration, curriculum and content of Commercial Diving Academy, maintaining the Academy’s reputation as an innovative learning facility, consistently providing the Commercial Diving Industry with the most qualified, well trained graduates.
ALLEN G. GARBER, CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Mr. Garber has been a recreational diver since 1974 and has dived in such places as the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, St. Martin and the Great Barrier Reef. He holds a BBA
from the University of Massachusetts in Marketing with a minor in Civil Engineering. He also holds a USCG operator’s license and has sailed both offshore and competitively. Mr. Garber has been involved in the marine industry for the past nine years and most recently was the Brand Manager & National Sales Manager for a major manufacturer of offshore recreational boats. Mr. Garber is the Business Development Director and is responsible for all the Marketing, Recruiting and Promotion of the Academy.
LAUREN IMHULSE, FINANCIAL AID ADMINISTRATOR

Mrs. Imhulse has been a recreational diver since 1998. She graduated from the University of Florida and majored in Marketing. She worked through college as a Student Assistant in the Accounting and Financial Aid departments. Her previous position was as a Mortgage Loan Officer . She currently serves as a Financial Aid Administrator, handling all aspects of student financing and enrollment, as well as contributing to marketing and recruiting.
JIM PAUELY, DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Mr. Pauley has more than 40 years experience in the field of adult training and is retired from the U.S. Air Force. After his military career he founded and operated a small chain of vocational schools in the northeast. During this period Mr. Pauley also obtained a BS degree in Aviation from Embry Riddle University and an MBA. Mr. Pauley sold his schools in the late 1990’s and turned his attention to educational consulting where he conducted school reviews for an accrediting organization and assisted schools with the accreditation process. Mr. Pauley now serves as Commercial Diving Academy’s Director of Education and Compliance Officer and is responsible for making sure that the school is in compliance with all regulations and policies, as well as to assure that the schools training programs meet established educational goals.
WARREN "DUSTY" HARRISON, PLACMENT AND ADMISSIONS
Dusty attended the Citadel and served in the USMC. Dusty has expertise with heavy equipment, marine hydraulics and diesel engine maintenance and repair. He is experienced in Tug Boat operations, towing and boat handling. Dusty teaches team building and employment skills and and is the job and placement advisor to all our students. Dusty maintains contacts with all the Offshore and Inland diving contractors assuring our graduates the best opportunities for subsea employment
ONIX MARTIR, DIRECTOR OF STUDENT AFFAIRS
Mr. Martir is a native of Puerto Rico and holds a BA from Augusta State College in political science, with a minor in history. He served more than 20 years in the U.S. Army, as an avionics and electronics mechanic, a combat communications and electronics officer, and a paratrooper. He is a graduate of the prestigious Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Most recently, he was a general facility and security manager and currently heads the Student Affairs department, providing counseling and advising services to CDA students.
AMBER JAXON, COMPTROLLER

Amber brings several years of bookkeeping experience to CDA. She is currently enrolled in accounting classes at a local college. Amber maintains all student accounts, ledgers and records. Her duties also comprise compliance with State and Federal accrediting agencies.
SHARI WEISMAN, REGISTRAR

Shari graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in education. After teaching for a year in Japan, she now serves as CDA’s registrar. She’s in charge of student files, grades, attendance, transcripts and diplomas.
MICHAEL PAULEY, ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR
Mr. Pauley is a graduate of Commercial Diving Academy and has a BA from West Virginia State University. Now serving primarily as an Admissions Counselor, Mr. Pauley’s duties include providing prospective students with details about the schools programs and entrance requirements. Mr. Pauley also acts as Commercial Diving Academy’s assistant store manager, and assists with instruction.
JEANINE HARRISON, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Mrs. Harrison has several years of administrative experience, both managing pediatric dental practices for 10 years and working as an Administrative Assistant for Fletcher High School for 8 years. Jeanine has been the Administrative Assistant at CDA since 2006 and has 3 daughters and 9 grandchildren.
