Commercial Diving Academy is one of the only underwater diving schools in the Southeast to be able to offer courses in underwater welding, commercial diving, wet welding and IMCA training. Our underwater welding school is one of the only U.S. underwater welding schools offering an internationally-recognized underwater welding program, Underwater Welding Specialist. This one week advanced underwater welding certification is available to certified commercial divers and offered upon completion of the Air/Mixed Gas program.
Underwater Welding jobs require that commercial divers be trained in underwater welding and our wet welding school is designed to allow students to certify underwater, as well as give them extra time welding underwater in addition to the time during the Air/Mixed Gas program. This level of training allows graduates from Commercial Diving Academy to advance quickly and find underwater welding jobs soon after course completion. Our underwater welding programs also offer underwater welding certification.
Commercial Diving Academy also offers underwater diving education for those interested in receiving hyperbaric chamber training. Our hyperbaric chamber training is designed as a certification beyond a qualified profession such as EMT/DMT. This program meets the NBDHMT requirements to work as a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) in a clinical environment and sit for the Board examination after 480 hours of documented preceptorship.
Commercial Diving Academy is also one of the best locations to receive dive medical technician training and our diving school Florida location makes our international diving school one of the best places to learn about becoming a dive medical technician.
Dive Medic Technicians are required on-site in all offshore diving. Commercial Diving Academy students will learn to operate a hyperbaric chamber using treatment tables and O2 to treat dive injuries. All divers who take this program will gain a greater understanding of the science of diving and in turn be smarter, safer divers. The student who successfully completes this program will qualify as a DMT advanced by NBDHMT.
Diver Medic Technician Training Programs are designed to help save the lives of commercial divers who are injured while working on off-shore locations such as oil rigs, archaeological points of interest and oceanographic sites.
